Wright decided that he would make a silk purse out of a sow's ear by molding a cross-shaped "textile" pattern into concrete blocks, the cheapest of building materials. It has recently undergone a major renovation - as it, like all Wright houses had water issues. Ah, the price of genius! And then again, not a bad return on investment.
